FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) has named junior Mariah Clark (Stuarts Draft, Va./Riverheads) its women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 9/25-10/1. Clark is R-MC's second consecutive Player of the Week.

Clark started the week off with 13 kills in an R-MC win against non-conference opponent St. Mary's (Md.). She added two services aces and two blocks to the effort as well. All-in-all, she was responsible for 16 points in the match, which the Seahawks pushed to four sets, but was eventually won by the Yellow Jackets, 3-1. Defensively, Clark added seven digs to the team's winning effort.

The good week continued with a win against ODAC opponent Roanoke College. Clark did not commit a single error in that match and killed 11 volleys on 20 attempts, which was good for a .550 kill percentage. She had a service ace and as four digs in that match as well. She added three more blocks to her weekly total and was responsible for 13.5 points in the match that R-MC won 3-0.

The junior is fifth in total kills in the ODAC with 153, one behind her teammate and last week's ODAC Player of the Week, sophomore Miranda Hall (Mechanicsville, Va. / Hanover). Clark is also ninth in the ODAC in kills per set with 2.73 and in the Top 15 in the ODAC for blocks per set with 0.55.

Randolph-Macon is now 13-3 on the season and 5-0 in conference play. The team opens the month of October with three straight games on the road against Hollins (Tuesday, October 3 at 7 PM), Juniata (Friday, October 6 at 6 PM) and Washington & Lee (Wednesday, October 11 at 7 PM). Following the road trip, R-MC will play four straight in Crenshaw Gymnasium in the middle of the month.
