Hall Named ODAC Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has recognized sophomore Miranda Hall (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) as its Player of the Week for the week between September 18 and September 25. It follows a tremendous pair of matches for both Hall and the women's volleyball program.

The team started the week with a resounding victory over Marymount (Va.), 3-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday. Marymount gave R-MC a tough third set before the Yellow Jackets ensured victory with the final three points. Hall had more kills than any other player on the court in the match against the Saints, racking up 17 kills on 33 attacks, tallying a .394 kill percentage. She added four digs and three blocks as well.

Hall was also the kill leader in the Yellow Jackets' win over ODAC foe Eastern Mennonite 3-0 on Thursday. She tallied ten kills and totaled a .292 kill percentage against the Royals. Hall also dug up six volleys on defense and added a block as well, while also getting credit for two assists.

The sophomore is a leader in the ODAC, tallying 2.95 kills per set, which puts her fifth in the ODAC in that category.

R-MC women's volleyball is in the midst of a seven game win streak, which began on September 9 against Averett. The team now sits at 11-3 overall and is also 4-0 in the ODAC. Randolph-Macon will be back in action at St. Mary's (Md.) on Tuesday at 7:00 PM and returns home Wednesday to take on Roanoke at 7:00 PM at Crenshaw Gymnasium.
