Quinn Tallies 45 Assists, 15 Digs, as R-MC Comes Up Short against Centre

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team fell 3-1 to Centre on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets led 54-45 on kills but were unable to beat the Colonels.

Junior Erin Quinn (Morrisville, N.C./ Cardinal Gibbons) has been a standout performer for the Yellow Jackets in their first four games. She led in two categories in the match with 45 assists and 15 digs. She also added three kills and one block assist.

Centre edged R-MC in the first set 25-17 but the Yellow Jackets came out strong in the second set won 25-22. Centre would go on to narrowly take the final two sets, 25-23 and 25-22.

Sophomore Mariah Clark (Stuarts Draft, Va./ Rivershead) led the team in kills with 15, she also recorded 12 digs, two assists and one block assist.

Another standout performer on the day was sophomore Emily Fitzwater (Bealeton, Va./ Liberty). She tallied 10 kills on just 15 attack attempts with a .600 kill percentage.

R-MC will conclude the W & L Invitational at 3:30 p.m. when they play Averett.
