Kylliainen, Pool Earn Seconds at ODAC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Randolph-Macon junior Kata Kylliainen (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) and sophomore Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) both registered a second-place finish on the third and final day of the 2018 ODAC Swimming Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The Yellow Jackets finished second out of 12 teams.

Kylliainen took second in the 1650 Free in a season-best time of 17:43.39.

Pool placed second in the 200 Back in a season-best time of 2:08.19.

Kylliainen and Pool teamed with senior Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) and freshman Caroline Pifer (Lutherville, Md./Notre Dame Prep) to take third in the 400 Free Relay in a season-best time of 3:40.49.

In the 200 Fly, freshman Natalia Perdomo (Stafford, Va.) finished third in 2:11.01. She posted a season-best time of 2:10.19 in prelims. Junior Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) was sixth in 2:16.92. In prelims, she set a season-best time of 2:15.53.

In the 1650 Free, Hamilton was fifth in a season-best time of 18.29.27. Perdomo finished in sixth in a season-best time of 18:46.13. Junior Haylie Moore (Lexington, N.C./South Davidson) was eighth in 19:01.48. Senior Savannah Pierce (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) was ninth in 19:17.68.

In the 200 Back, sophomore Lauren McCoy (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) finished sixth in a season-best time of 2:15.37. Granger placed seventh in a season-best time of 2:16.54.

In the 100 Free, Pifer placed ninth in a season-best time of 55.96.

Freshman Grace Landolt (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) finished seventh in the 200 Breast in a season-best time of 2:31.03. Sophomore Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) was ninth in a season-best time of 2:33.59.
