Kylliainen, Sanchez, Perdomo Lead R-MC Women's Swimming in Tri-Meet

ROANOKE, Va. - Junior Kata Kylliainen (Rowson, Md./Loch Raven), sophomore Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) and freshman Natalia Perdomo (Stafford, Va.) each won a pair of individual events as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team defeated a pair of opponents in a tri-meet on Saturday evening.

The Yellow Jackets downed Roanoke 151-50 and beat Greensboro 173-17.

Kylliainen won the 1000 Free in 11:24.78 and the 100 Free in 58.60. Kylliainen teamed with sophomore Lauren McCoy (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River), junior Haylie Moore (Lexington, N.C./South Davidson) and senior Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) to win the 200 Free Relay in 1:46.28.

Sanchez took first in the 200 IM in 2:22.13 and 100 Breast in 1:12.89. She joined sophomore Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch), Perdomo and Granger to win the 200 Medley Relay in 1:56.33.

Perdomo finished first in the 100 Fly in 1:00.70 and the 500 Free in 5:40.87.

Freshman Grace Landolt (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) won the 200 Free in 2:07.68. She took second in the 100 Free in 58.84. Landolt was third in the 100 Breast in 1:13.26.

Moore was second in the 1000 Free in 11:40.29. She was also second in the 50 Free in 27.56.

Pool placed second in the 200 Free in 2:10.30. She was also second in the 100 Back in 1:04.26.

Sophomore Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) was second in the 200 IM in 2:22.76.

McCoy finished third in the 100 Back in 1:04.34.

Senior Savannah Pierce (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) was third in the 100 Free in 1:00.62.

Junior Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) placed third in the 500 Free in 5:46.04.

Junior Victoria Lewan (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) finished third in the 200 Free in 2:15.60.

Freshman Caroline Pifer (Lutherville, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was third in the 50 Free in 27.59.

Randolph-Macon will compete in the 2018 ODAC Championships on Feb. 9-11 in Greensboro, N.C.
