Kylliainen Earns Two Firsts & Two Seconds for R-MC Women's Swimming vs. Catholic

ASHLAND, Va. - Junior Kata Kylliainen (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) recorded two firsts and a pair of second as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team fell 150-112 against Catholic on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day for the Yellow Jackets.

Kylliainen won the 200 Free in 2:02.57. She finished first in the 500 Free in 5:31.40. Kylliainen teamed with sophomore Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch), freshman Grace Landolt (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) and senior Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) to take second in the 200 Medley Relay in 1:57.13. She joined Pool, freshman Caroline Pifer (Lutherville, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and junior Haylie Moore (Lexington, N.C./South Davidson) to place second in the 200 Free Relay in 1:47.91.

Landolt earned a pair of firsts. She won the 100 Breast in 1:13.20 and finished first in the 200 Breast in 2:38.76 Landolt placed third in the 200 Free in 2:07.65.

Freshman Natalia Perdomo (Stafford, Va.) also won a pair of races. She was first in the 200 Fly in 2:17.51 and won the 100 Fly in 1:01.02. Perdomo was second in the 1000 Free in 11:37.27.

Sophomore Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) earned a pair of seconds in the 200 Breast in 2:40.75 and in the 400 IM in 5:04.39.

Pool placed second in the 200 Back in 2:17.96. She was third in the 100 Back in 1:04.92.

Sophomore Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) took second in the 100 Breast in 1:13.27. She was third in the 400 IM in 5:06.72.

Sophomore Lauren McCoy (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) was second in the 100 Back in 1:04.24.

Junior Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) was third in the 200 Fly in 2:28.09.

Randolph-Macon concludes its regular season next Saturday, traveling to Roanoke to swim against Greensboro and the host Maroons. The ODAC Championships will be held Feb. 9-11 in Greensboro, N.C.
