WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) recorded a trio of victories as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team fell 157-105 Saturday afternoon at Catholic.
Sanchez took first in the 200 Free in 2:02.93. She also won the 200 IM in 2:21.95. Sanchez finished first in the 200 Breast in 2:36.16. Sanchez teamed with freshman Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch), freshman Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) and junior Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) to place second in the 200 Medley Relay.
Pool finished first in the 200 Back in 2:18.24. She was second in the 100 Back in 1:04.06. Pool joined Crank, Granger and freshman Lauren McCoy (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) to place second in the 200 Free Relay.
McCoy won the 100 Back in 1:03.95. She was third in the 50 Free in 27.18. McCoy was also third in the 200 Back in 2:22.74.
Crank placed second in the 100 Breast in 1:15.52.
Granger took second in the 50 Free in 26.90. She was third in the 100 Free in 58.06.
Sophomore Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) was second in the 200 Fly in 2:20.44.
Junior Savannah Pierce (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) took third in the 1000 Free in 11:43.63. She was also third in the 500 Free in 5:43.51.
