Walker Snags 14 Saves for R-MC Women's Lacrosse vs. #1 W&L

LEXINGTON, Va. - Senior Allie Walker (Towson, Md./Mercy) snared 14 saves as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-2 decision to top-ranked Washington & Lee in ODAC action Saturday afternoon.

Walker had six saves in the first half and eight in the second stanza.

Senior Susie Snee (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) had five caused turnovers, two draw controls and two ground balls for the Yellow Jackets (8-5, 5-1 ODAC).

The Generals (10-1, 4-0 ODAC) registered the first seven goals of the game before freshman Mary Castle (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) connected on a free position shot with 15:42 left in the first half to put R-MC on the board. W&L added five goals and led 12-1 at halftime.

Castle netted her second goal with 21:00 left in the second half on a pass from junior Alex Lightfoot (Fairfax, Va./WT Woodson).

Randolph-Macon returns to Day Field on Saturday, April 22 for a 1 p.m. ODAC contest against Roanoke.
