15 Yellow Jackets Score in 23-0 Win over Hollins

ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman Kristin Patrick (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) scored three goals, one of 15 Yellow Jackets to score, as Randolph-Macon downed Hollins 23-0 in ODAC Women's Lacrosse Friday afternoon at Day Field.

The Yellow Jackets (5-3, 2-1) built a 14-0 lead at halftime and added nine second-half goals.

Junior Allie Franklin (Manassas, Va./Osbourn), sophomore Alyssa Chavez (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) and freshman Laney Dee (Norfolk, Va./Bishop Sullivan) each had two goals and two assists for four points. Patrick also had an assist for four points.

Junior Betsy Hebert (Lutherville, Md./Roland Park Country) also netted two goals

Freshmen Allie Walker (Lutherville, Md./Mercy) and Jamie Langbein (Olney, Md./Sherwood) combined on the shutout. Walker recorded two saves in the first half for the Yellow Jackets.

R-MC held a 40-5 advantage in shots. Hollins (0-4, 0-3) had all five shots in the first half.

The Yellow Jackets had a 20-5 edge in draw controls. Sophomore Jenelle Whitman (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) led R-MC with six.

Senior Audrey Hester (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) paced the Yellow Jackets with four of the team's 26 ground balls.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday, March 26 at Mary Washington at 4 p.m.
