R-MC Women's Golf Finishes Seventh at Pat Clouse Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Senior Aven Oliver (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) finished in a tie for 23rd out of 81 individuals for the Randolph-Macon women's golf team after the second and final round of the Pat Clouse Invitational, hosted by Wittenberg University at the Springfield Country Club.

The Yellow Jackets placed seventh out of 12 squads in the team standings. The team improved by 10 strokes in Round 2, shooting 337 after an opening-round 347.

Oliver shot 168 (85-83) to lead R-MC, followed by junior Liza Lewis (Richmond, Va./Trinity) at 172 (87-85), junior Emmy Saathoff (Catonsville, Md./Notre Dame) at 173 (87-85), junior Mia Koch (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) at 175 (88-87) and sophomore Colleen Connolly (Winchester, Va./John Handley) at 179 (96-83). Connolly bettered her score by 13 strokes, the top improvement among the top 60 individuals.

Randolph-Macon will conclude the fall portion of its schedule Oct. 14-15 at the 2017 Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic at the Patriots Glen Golf Club in Elkton, Md.
