Pablo Bordas Secures Fifth Point for R-MC Men's Tennis vs. Randolph

ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Pablo Bordas (Caracas, Venezuela/ Briar Woods) won the final singles match in R-MC men's tennis' 5-4 win over Randolph on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 6-4 and 4-1 in the ODAC.

In doubles, R-MC fell behind 2-1 to the WildCats. Junior Baxter Carter (Richmond, Va./ St. Christopher's) and freshman partner Grant Sarver (Richmond, Va./ Mill Godwin) picked up the point for R-MC at #1 doubles, winning 8-5.

R-MC fell to the WildCats in #1 and #2 singles, but would win from #3 through #6 to win the match. At number three, Sarver won his second match of the day, winning 6-1, 6-3 over Trevor Johnson.

In the number four flight, senior Alex Curnow (Culpeper, Va./ Midlothian) won against Doug Corbett 6-4, 6-3. At #5 senior Stuart McCroskey (Newport News, Va./ Menchville) won 7-5, 6-0.

Finally, Bordas picked up the fifth and final point for the Yellow Jackets winning, 6-2, 6-2 over Joe Kaneda at number six singles.

R-MC will be back in action against Emory & Henry on April 15 with the match starting at 2 p.m.
