Redenz Honored by ODAC for Third Time This Season

FOREST, Va. - For the third time this season, senior Robert Redenz (Moseley, Va./Cosby) has been selected ODAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Redenz recorded three first-place finishes in a dual meet against York this past Saturday.

In the third event of the meet, Redenz captured the 200 Free in 1:47.62. He won by three-tenths of a second.

In the 100 Free, Redenz finished first in 48.97. He won by four-tenths of a second.

In the final event of the meet, Redenz swam the first leg of the 200 Free Relay. He teamed with junior Alex Daube (Hampton, Va./Hampton), freshman Matt Howard (Fredericksburg, Va./James Monroe) and junior Ealon Mann (Spartanburg, S.C./Spartanburg) to win in 1:29.57.

It marks the fourth time this season that a member of the R-MC men's swimming team has been recognized by the ODAC. Junior Ivan Fadeyev (Manassas, Va./Osbourn Park) was also named ODAC Men's Swimmer of the Week earlier this season.

Randolph-Macon returns to action after the first of the year, travelling to Howard on Friday, Jan. 13, for a 6 p.m. meet.
