Men's Soccer Ranks Regionally With United Soccer Coaches

ASHLAND , Va. -- With a 6-0 start to 2017, the Randolph-Macon men's soccer team cracked into the Top 10 in regional rankings by the United Soccer Coaches Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets checked in at #10 in the South Atlantic region of the poll, dated September 19.

The Yellow Jackets started the season with five straight clean sheets, not allowing a goal until playing St. Mary's (Md.) this past Saturday. Despite allowing two goals to the Seahawks, the Yellow Jackets still outlasted SMC for the win, 3-2.

The team's next game is scheduled against Catholic tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7:30 PM at Day Field. Following the game against the Cardinals, R-MC opens Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play against Washington and Lee at 1:00 PM on Saturday in Ashland. W&L is ranked #1 in the South Atlantic Region and #8 overall in the country in today's poll.  They had a record of 5-0-1 on the day of the poll.
