Bridgewater, VA. -- The Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team finished their 2014 regular season with a 13-5 victory this afternoon against Bridgewater College.
The Yellow Jackets (9-7, 5-4 ODAC) captured a commanding lead in the first period netting six goals for the early advantage. Nolan Clark (Annapolis, MD / St. Mary's) scored the first goal of the game 38 seconds into regulation. His goal was assisted by Sam Mayer (Severna Park, MD / Severna). Calrk also tallied a second goal in that period. The remaining four goals were credited to Jason Andrews (Hereford, MD / Hereford), Nick Benhoff (Phoenix, MD / Dulaney), Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, MD / Kingsway Regional), and Mayer. Their goals were assisted by Eric Taylor (Burtonsville, MD / DeMatha), Phillip Goss (Joppa, MD / John Carroll), and Benhoff.
R-MC continued their momentum for the remainder of the contest, leading 8-1 by intermission, and nabbing five additional goals for the win. Complete game story soon to follow.
