Struhar Shoots 73 for R-MC Men's Golf at VSGA Intercollegiate

RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Kirby Struhar (Sterling, Va./Park View) shot two-over 73 to sit in a tie for 15th out of 100 individuals for the Randolph-Macon men's golf team in the first round of the VSGA Intercollegiate Championship at Stonehenge.

The Yellow Jackets were tied for 12th out of 18 squads in the team standings.

Struhar carded birdies on the ninth, 14th and 18th holes. Juniors Chase Childers (Issue, Md./La Plata) and Christian Fagan (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) both fired 77, followed by sophomore Alex Nelson (Weems, Va./Lancaster) at 78 and senior Peter Shaner (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) at 80.

The second and final round will be played on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
