Struhar Third, R-MC Second at Glenn Heath Memorial

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Junior Kirby Struhar (Sterling, Va./Park View) shot a one-over 73 to sit in a tie for third out of 80 individuals and the Randolph-Macon men's golf team  was tied for second out of 14 teams Monday after the first round of the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial at the Williamsburg Club.

The Yellow Jackets are tied with Virginia Wesleyan for second and lead six other ODAC teams.

Struhar is one shot behind the leaders, Carter Morgan of Virginia Wesleyan and Davis Topping of Christopher Newport.

Sophomore Trey Razzetti (Glen Allen, Va./Benedictine) was tied for 10th at 76, followed by freshman Alex Nelson (Weems, Va./Lancaster) at 77, junior Matthew McDonagh (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) at 82 and freshman Tom Schaffer at 84.

Playing as individuals, sophomore Chase Childers (Issue, Md./La Plata) shot 81 and senior Dalton Taylor (Falls Church, Va./McLean) fired an 86.

The second and final round will be played on Tuesday, April 11.
