Struhar Earns Medalist Honors at Builders Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Junior Kirby Struhar (Sterling, Va./Park View) finished first at two-over 146 to finish first out of 33 individuals at the Builders Invitational this past weekend at the Long Bay Resort.

Struhar was in a three-way tie after Round 1 with a three-over 75. He had the best round of the tournament in the second round a one-under 71.

Struhar helped the Yellow Jackets place second out of six schools in the team standings. Junior Matthew McDonagh (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) finished seventh at 159 (79-80), followed by freshman Alex Nelson (Weems, Va./Lancaster) at 165 (77-88), sophomore Trey Razzetti (Glen Allen, Va./Benedictine) at 168 (83-85) and junior Peter Shaner (Leington, Va./Rockbridge County) at 174 (84-90).

Randolph-Macon returns to action on March 17-19 at the Jekyll Island Invitational in Georgia.
