R-MC Baseball in Top 10 in Three National Polls

ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon baseball team sits in the Top 10 in the three national Division III polls.

The Yellow Jackets are eighth in the first regular-season poll by the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball poll. R-MC was also eighth in the ABCA's preseason poll. The Yellow Jackets are ninth in the Perfect Game poll. Randolph-Macon moved up one spot to No. 10 in the D3baseball.com poll.

R-MC went 3-0 last week. The Yellow Jackets won 13-1 at St. Mary's on Tuesday before sweeping an ODAC home doubleheader from Emory & Henry on Saturday. R-MC won 13-2 in the opener before taking a 9-2 decision in the nightcap.

The Yellow Jackets has been ranked for 26 consecutive weeks, dating back to March 17, 2015.

Randolph-Macon returns to conference action this weekend at Guilford. The Yellow Jackets face the Quakers at 3 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
