FOREST, Va. - Randolph-Macon junior Cole Migliorini (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) belted three home runs in a two-game conference sweep at Guilford and was named ODAC Player of the Week for baseball.
Migliorini went 5 for 9 (.556) with one double, three homers, six runs and six RBI in two games. In the first game that was suspended on Saturday and concluded on Sunday, Migliorini went 3 for 5 with a double, a homer, four runs and two RBI in a 15-4 Yellow Jacket victory. In Sunday's finale, Migliorini went 2 for 4 with a pair of two-run homers in an 11-4 win for R-MC.
Migliorini has played in all 17 games for the Yellow Jackets this season and is batting .317 with four doubles and a team-high two triples. Migliorini is tops on the team and second in the ODAC with five home runs and a slugging percentage of .700. He is second on the team and eighth in the conference with 20 runs. Migliorini is third on the team and ninth in the league with 17 RBI.
The eighth-ranked Yellow Jackets have a five-game win streak. R-MC is 13-4 overall and 4-0 in the ODAC, tied with Washington & Lee for first.
Randolph-Macon has three conference road games this week. The Yellow Jackets travel to Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, March 22 for a 3:30 p.m. contest. R-MC will play a noon doubleheader at Bridgewater on Saturday, March 25.
