R-MC Baseball Moves to No. 11 in D3baseball.com Poll

ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon baseball team has moved to No. 11 in this week's D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25.

The Yellow Jackets are 8-4 after a 2-2 week. R-MC won at Marymount on Thursday before taking just one of three over the weekend against Rowan.

R-MC has been ranked for 25 straight weeks, dating back to March 17, 2015. The Yellow Jackets had been in the Top 10 for 11 consecutive weeks before falling to No. 11.

The Yellow Jackets are one of three ODAC teams in this week's poll. Shenandoah rose to No. 2 with its 10-0 record, and Roanoke moved into the poll at No. 23. The Maroons are 11-2. Hampden-Sydney is also receiving votes in the poll.

Randolph-Macon plays at St. Mary's this afternoon at 2 p.m. The Yellow Jackets begin ODAC play at home on Saturday at 12 noon with a doubleheader against Emory & Henry on Hugh Stephens Field at Estes Park.
