ASHLAND, Va. - Following a regional final appearance in 2016, Randolph-Macon is ranked No. 10 in the country in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Preseason Top 25.

R-MC was earlier picked No. 8 in the Collegiate Baseball Division III National Preseason Poll.

The Yellow Jackets went 35-8-1 a season ago. R-MC set a program record for victories in a season and the senior class collected 108 wins over the past four years, the first class in program history to pass the century mark in victories. The Yellow Jackets won the ODAC title and reached the regional finals for the first time in program history. R-MC was ranked seventh in the final American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll, and eighth in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25. R-MC has been ranked for 23 straight weeks, dating back to March 17, 2015. The Yellow Jackets have been in the Top 10 for 11 consecutive weeks, going back to March 22, 2016.

The Yellow Jackets are one of two state and ODAC schools in the poll. Shenandoah is No. 16. R-MC hosts the Hornets in a doubleheader on April 22.

R-MC will entertain top-ranked Cortland State in a single game on Feb. 26.

The Yellow Jackets will face three other schools receiving votes in the poll. R-MC hosts Alvernia in a single game on Feb. 25, plays at Christopher Newport on Feb. 22, entertains Washington & Lee in an ODAC doubleheader on April 1 and hosts CNU on April 4.
