FOREST, Va. - Randolph-Macon senior third baseman Stuart Brown (Midlothian, Va./Trinity) has been named ODAC Baseball Player of the Week after helping the 11th-ranked Yellow Jackets post three victories this past week.
Brown batted .615 (8 for 13) with two doubles, one triple, five runs and six RBI in those three games. He had 12 total bases for a slugging percentage of .923, and walked twice for an on-base percentage of .667.
In Tuesday's 13-1 victory at St. Mary's, Brown went 3 for 5 with a double, three runs and one RBI. In Game 1 of the doubleheader against Emory & Henry on Saturday, a 13-2 win for the Yellow Jackets (11-4), Brown was 2 for 4 with one run and three RBI. In the second game, a 9-2 triumph for R-MC, Brown went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple, one run and two RBI.
For the season, Brown is hitting .373 with 11 run. He leads the team with 17 RBI.
Following the postponement of Tuesday's game at Catholic, Randolph-Macon returns to action on Saturday, March 18, for a 3 p.m. ODAC contest at Guilford. The teams conclude their two-game set on Sunday, March 19 at 1 p.m.
